Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VetBrain mobile application and the vet-brain.io website (the "Service"), operated by Mouxy ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

VetBrain is a veterinary practice management tool designed for veterinary surgeons performing home visits. It includes clinical record management, AI-assisted diagnostics, route planning, online client booking, and invoicing features. The Service is provided via an iOS/iPadOS application and a web platform.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for qualified veterinary professionals. By subscribing, you confirm that you are a licensed veterinary surgeon or are acting under the supervision of one. The online booking platform is available to the general public for scheduling appointments.

3. Account & Subscription

Access to the app requires a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Licence keys may be provided for web platform access. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to: use the Service only for lawful veterinary practice purposes; maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and client records; not share your account credentials; not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the app; not use the AI features as a substitute for professional veterinary judgement.

5. Clinical Responsibility

VetBrain is a practice management and decision-support tool. The AI assistant provides informational guidance only and does not constitute veterinary advice. All clinical decisions, diagnoses, and treatments remain your sole professional responsibility. You must exercise independent clinical judgement at all times.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Clinical data is stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not access or process clinical patient data on our servers.

7. Online Booking Platform

The booking platform allows your clients to schedule appointments. You are responsible for: maintaining your availability schedule; responding to booking requests; managing deposits and refunds (if applicable, via Stripe Connect). We act as a technology provider and are not a party to the agreement between you and your clients.

8. Payments & Refunds

Subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests for subscriptions should be directed to Apple. For booking deposits processed through Stripe, refund policies are set by individual veterinary professionals.

9. Availability & Support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app is designed to work offline for critical clinical functions. We provide support via email and aim to respond within 48 hours on business days.

10. Intellectual Property

The VetBrain app, website, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Mouxy. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your veterinary practice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mouxy shall not be liable for: any clinical outcomes resulting from use of the Service or its AI features; loss of data due to device failure or iCloud issues; service interruptions beyond our reasonable control; indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
